Gustav's Brasserie in Bad Soden

On December 15th my wife and I wanted to order food for our wedding anniversary. Our first choice fell on Gustav‘s. On the Gustav‘s website it was stated that food can be ordered for collection and delivery. The Quisana answered the call. Micha, who claims to be head waiter, stated that the two restaurants belong together. I can order dishes from the Gustav‘s menu. He just doesn't have the menu at hand, but the cook knows. The following dishes were ordered: Penne Gustav‘s Fresh porcini mushrooms in spaghetti with tomatoes and herbs in truffle oil Plato Variado with Manchego, Serano and Chorizo Sheep cheese from the oven bacon-wrapped dates When I picked it up at the Quisana, the debit card machine did not initially work. So I was sent to the nearby savings bank. When I wanted to pay € 48 including a tip with a € 50 note, I was told that the supplier had the till with him. Visibly annoyed that I didn't want to round up to 50 euros, Micha pulled 2 euros out of his pocket. He also explained to me that the Quisana is much nicer than Gustav‘s and why I wanted to order there at all. When we got home, we found out that we had been served spaghetti in cream sauce with inedible beef strips. There was boiled ham on the tapas plate. The four dates for 5 euros were inedible and ice cold. The penne Gustavennes as well as the sheep cheese were ok, but had nothing to do with the original Gustavgers dishes. I called the Quisana and described the wrong pasta dish. Annoyed, Micha announced that I had ordered the pasta like this. He also asked twice what he should do now and what is it now. Then the conversation was over. Conclusion on the Quisana: Bad food and rude head waiter Gustav's conclusion: Always liked to eat, even in larger ones Rounds on the occasion of civil weddings and birthdays. However, giving the number of the Quisana on your own homepage without a clear indication is a cheek.

The food was delicious, but the service was a bit impersonal.

Great restaurant in Bad Soden. Somewhat hidden in a small passage and highly recommended. From tapas, salads, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes everything is offered. We think the ambience is very nice and makes you feel good. The staff are nice and food is served quickly and is delicious. A clear recommendation on our part.

We were there tonight and "only" consumed drinks. The waiter and wait staff were very friendly and attentive. My wife and I really enjoyed it there. Despite Corona and the change in the restaurant, it was cozy. I can't judge the food, but what was served on the plate looked very good!

Sometimes the felt "East-East Germans" are a bit strange, and sometimes just plain / good - 4 stars are okay - also for lunch - if you expect a dish worth around € 25 for less than € 10, is my own fault (I caught myself doing that) 😁

Not what it used to be ... For many years we were there regularly having excellent breakfast at great value for money. Meanwhile, the service staff is so creepy that we just don't like it anymore, despite several attempts. Very messy and now very impersonal. Where's the great boss to intervene here?

Is always worth a visit! Great ambience, good food, even later in the evening .... but also good, if you just go for a drink in nice company ... I'm a longtime guest ... unfortunately I do not come to Bad Soden so often ...

Nice little restaurant in Bad Soden am Taunus. Outside very nice. However, very shady, but convenient for people who like it shady. Quiet atmosphere, in the evening in the interior very noisy, as bar and restaurant area in a room. Latte macchiato relatively small. Food and service looked good. Staff friendly and easy. Gladly again

The brasserie made a welcoming impression - I received a friendly welcome. The ambiance is cozy and very appealing. The greeting from the kitchen was rather disappointing - cheap baguette with a mediocre pesto. For starters, I had carpaccio from the veal - since I was there early, I probably had the first parmesan of the day and some of the parmesan slicer was very hard - otherwise delicious - especially the truffle oil upgraded the carpaccio. A very positive surprise was the venison - cooked to the point - still pink - delicious truffle potato mash and a very good sauce - perfect! The service was decent and very friendly - the boss has personally greeted all known faces. The card actually fits for a brasserie and is very diverse - the extra card had seasonal dish - the tapas menu in my opinion does not fit into the ambiance and the rest of the food.

Nice ambiance, delicious food. Sadly once they mixed up my order and when I asked, they told me they did not have what I had originally ordered and instead decided to switch it without informing me! But it was still yummy.
